The 2010 Photography Show will run May 21 – June 11. The exhibition is open to photographers in both traditional and digital photography. Submissions must be original to the artist, made in the past 5 years and not previously exhibited at the AI&G. Works with entry forms are due at the AI&G Friday, May 14 from 11-3 and Monday, May 17 from 11-4 pm. A maximum of 5 entries can be accepted. The Foyer Gallery solo artist is: Cheryl Nemazie, photojournalist.

The judge is Seldon Dix, Jr. of Salisbury, MD. Dix studied graphic design at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY. After a Naval tour of duty, Dix joined the American Broadcasting Company (ABC) as a graphic designer, and served as Assistant Art Director of Promotion. In 1968, Dix joined Time, Inc., now (Time Warner Inc.), where he enjoyed a successful career and retired in 1990 as the Executive Art Director of the TIME Promotion Art Department of TIME Magazine.

Cash awards will be presented at the opening reception on the 3rd Friday – May 21st from 5-7 pm.

The 2010 Delmarva Regional Exhibition will run June 18 – July 9th. The exhibition is open to all artists in all mediums in both 2D and 3D works. Submissions must be original to the artist, made in the past 5 years and not previously exhibited at the AI&G. Works with entry forms are due at the AI&G Friday, June 11 from 11-3 and Monday, June 14 from 11-4 pm. A maximum of 5 entries can be accepted. The Foyer Gallery Solo Artist is Kim Briele.

The judge is Margaret Coyman, Art Educator with the Salisbury School in Salisbury, MD.

Cash awards will be presented at the opening reception on the 3rd Friday – June 18 from 5-7 pm.

19th Annual National Juried Exhibition runs September 12 – October 15.

The Deadline for the 19th Annual National Juried Exhibition has been extended to Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at 3:00 PM.

Completed prospectus along with a $35 fee, CD of artist jpeg images of submitted work are due to the AI&G by Tuesday, June 1 at 3:00 pm. (Note: No work will be accepted for entry after this date and time as a received in hand deadline.) The juror and judge is artist and gallery curator, Edward Evans of Stroudsburg, PA. Artists will be contacted by July 30th of acceptance or non-acceptance of art works. The Directors of the 2010 National Juried Exhibition are Edward and Emmy Challenger of Bishopville, MD. The Foyer Gallery solo artist is Petra Bernstein of Salisbury, MD – Winner of the 18th National Juried Exhibition.

The hours are Monday through Friday, 11 am – 3 pm. The AI&G also is open every 3rd Friday from 5-7 pm in conjunction with Salisbury’s 3rd Friday Celebrations. The AI&G is a non-profit 50lc3 organization whose mission is to advance the visual arts in the Delmarva region through artist exhibitions and child and adult art education programs.
